Happy New Year

Hi,
Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year. Yesterday my LNS had an end of year sale, everything was on sale, picked up a piece of 28 ct linen, and two Mill Hill Simply Season Window Pane, July/August and November/December. Started on the Calico Roads Tuna Kat today. Finished the cats head....some progress. Watching tv and enjoying the quiet time before the new year. Have a great weekend! Enjoy your family and friends.

My Pics

Hi,
Great afternoon, after work met up with my girlfriend and exchange gifts. She gave me a candle (cooling spiced cider) , a beautiful mug, and snowmen sitting around a campfire where the campfire lights up. I have it sitting under my tree all lit up. I gave her Kahlua chocolates, the Mill Hill Gingerbread Man and I'm Jammin. We had a great time chatting and had dinner at Ruby Tuesday, then over to Home Goods and Michael s.

Woo HOOO

Hi,
I am woo hooing....finished up the Christmas presents for my friend. We are stitching buddies so, I made her two cross stitch items, both Mill Hill. It made me want to stitch so I had them ready...go figure...have a goal and I made it. We are going out after work tomorrow to exchange gifts. I really hope she likes them. One she wanted to buy but was not sure when she would get to stitch it since we both have lots of STASH. So, I bought it and stitched it up for her. Took some pics will share tomorrow. Stitching, Errands and Laundry

Hi,
Today it is cold here and dreary. We ran some errands this morning......Now we are watching tv, I am stitching and doing laundry. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am working on a Mill Hill for a friend. Need to get it completed so I can give it to her as part of her Christmas presents. Also got out the fabric for two blankets I need to sew up for presents. It is okay if they are late, they are getting all sorts of presents so they can be done anytime this winter.

Stitching

Hi,
Able to stitch this weekend and a happy dance. I completed the mill hill Gingerbread Man. He is a gift for a good friend of mine. I am also stitching another Mill Hill for a present. I have not finished it....working on it though to get it done. Seems like if I have a goal, I stitch..... Also by reading the stitching blogs and seeing what others are stitching gets me motivated to stitch. Last night some shopping for the week, errands. This weekend the Christmas tree was decorated on Sunday, it is up and putting us in the Christmas mood. Hope all are enjoying getting ready for the holidays. Can't believe it is almost here. Happy December,
This weekend driving to and from my sisters and at her house, I was able to get in some stitching. It is great to be stitching. Today it snowed...so we are in....doing chores around the house.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Hi,

Spent the weekend with family. My sister, her children and I went and saw Twilight. The movie was really good. Would like to see it again. Thanksgiving dinner was great and enjoyed the leftovers the next night also. No stitching but some sewing for my sister, added patches to my nephews Boy Scout uniform.

I am working on an old, yes old....UFO....now a WIP the Kreinik Happy Jack. I dont remember how many years I have been working on this....but I plan on completing it very soon. I hope to have a happy dance very soon. Not tonight......Hope all had a great weekend.

Howard County Craft Fair

Hi,
Went to the Howard County Crafts Spectacular...rode by myself but met up with some friends. Had a great time walking around to see all vendors. Lots of great crafts. Came away with some chocolate covered raisins and a basket by Partnership Crafts. Came home and went out to dinner with a bunch of friends. No stitching.....hope to get to some tomorrow.

Stitching all afternoon

Hi,
Stitching all afternoon from 1pm to 5pm....it was great. Met up with a local group who stitch on first Sunday of the month. Had a great time. Had 4 hours of stitch time, where I did not interuppt myself with other things to do. Plan to go back next month. Lots of great ladies.

No Stitching

Hi,
Been busy today, organizing our clothes. Summer to winter and donating the items that no longer fit. How did that happen :-).....Not quite done but significance progress. More to accomplish but it is getting better. Found another Pine Mountain Pillow today Halloween Themed EEK will work on it tomorrow while watching Monday Prime time TV. No picture yet. Been hooked on a DS Game Mystery Case Files.....lots of fun. Well off to watch Amazing Race.

Happy Dance

Not much to report. Completed the Pine Mountain Halloween Peek A Boo pillow last Monday. Started it on Saturday. Hope to have a picture soon. Went to a friends 4oth Halloween Birthday Party yesterday and today saw John Berry. Second time I have seen him in concert. Great show.

Stitchers Jubillee and Stitchers Jamboree

Hi,

On Oct 3rd my best friend and I went up to the Stitchers Jubilee for the day to the market place. It was great fun, I bought a needlepoint pillow of a Siberian husky from BritStitch and a chart Kitchen Combos with geckos from Stoney Creek. We stopped for lunch at McDonalds then went to the Strawberry Sampler. No stash from there.

On Oct 10 we were off to Ocean City MD for the Stitchers Jamboree. We took our time driving there, Hollys for Breakfast, Queenstown Prime Outlets, Ben Franklin in Easton, Walmart just outside OC and then the OC Outlets. Arrived to the Stitchers Jamboree around 2:30 pm. Checked in, took a walk up the boardwalk. Dinner was at 5pm and hor'dourves at 7pm. Hung around and talked with all the participants. On Saturday up and down to breakfast at 7am. Muffin, Banana and Tea. Our first class was with Jane Timmers, off to lunch, second class was with Lauren Sauer. Dinner was on our own went down to Fastos Bistro. Walked down to the inlet. Went back and met up with some stitchers and stitched until 11:30 pm. Sunday up for breakfast. Our last class was with Eileen Bennett. The weekend was fantastic. Teachers were superb, accommodations outstanding, just an overall great weekend. Bought some stash, Gathering Place Halloween and Pine Mountain Stitching is my Cup of Tea. We wait all year to go and now is over again, until next time.

Beading, Crafting and Reading

Hi,
Hope you had a good weekend, mine is winding down. New episode of Cold Case tonight.
I was able to do some finishing this weekend. First off is the foam skeleton, I completed him last weekend but able to take a picture of him today.


Also, I made two iron on T-shirts for Halloween, but going to wear them at the Stitchers Jamboree in two weeks. Most of the attendees dress in Halloween/Fall attire.



Then for the big finish, I finally...yes finally got out and finished a scissor case and fob, which I initially put together over two years ago. I thought about it today, got it out and finished it. It is by Needle and Frame, the Beaded Ribbon Scissor Case and Fob, here. It came out better than I expected! Happy Dance!

Not Stitching but Organizing and Reading

Hi,
This weekend, was able to organize some of my stash, mostly putting my charts in a file folder by category. Also finished Stephanie Meyer's The Ecilipse and started reading Breaking Dawn. Also attended the Catonsville Arts and Crafts Festival today. Walked the whole festival and had a crab cake sandwich for lunch. Was a good weekend. Hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Back from FL

Hi,
Back from FL, visiting my Mom, stayed longer than expected due to Tropical Storm
Fay. My sisters were not able to fly in so I stayed until they could.
I started and finished the Pine Mountain Pillow on last Wednesday Just Add Snow. It was nice to stitch while down there.

This weekend

Hi,
Mostly worked around the house. Went to Joann's and picked out a new sewing basket, it is turquoise blue with vibrant flowers on top. It is shaped like a picnic basket. I had hoped to use my 40% coupon but they were on sale again, so I splurged. We did chores around the house, laundry, vacumming (our dog is really shedding). I stitched some more on the Bittersweet Bouquet. I am focusing on all the cross stitching then back to the beading. Last Thursday, I went to the LNS to pick up the latest JABC Teapot (September) and picked up some Weeks Dye Works thread. I was also able to do some reading of Jennifer Chaverini, The Winding Ways Quilt. I have read the entire series and this one is the latest.

Tonight completed the Hoppy Spring by Dimensions. It is now hung up on my refrigerator. Now on to another WIP Autumn Mill Hill basket...will post a picture soon. Hope you all find some stitching time.

Finished up reading Nineteen Minutes....really enjoyed the book. Going into my WIP to pick something out to stitch for a while tonight. Feel like I need to get back to stitching again.

Haven't done any stitching this past week. Been on vacation. Back now catching up on Blogs and reading Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. Would rather be on vacation...but back to work so we can go camping again.
