Hi,

Up fairly early today, getting the house ready. Friend came over to watch, Safely Not Guaranteed, and Amazing Spider Man. Had a good time.

Christmas has arrived in our house. Here is a  pic of our tree. This year it is in the front window.  Most years it has been between our living and dining room.

Not much else going on today....Hope you all are able to stitch.

Lights up

Hi,
After a full week of work - today was cleaning up leaves in the yard....cleaning up around the shed.....digging trench around shed - filled in with rock partially. Christmas lights out in the yard, Santas Hat on the front door. Laundry going on tonight, cleaned out one of my closets today....looking for a specific sweatshirt I cross stitched - still among the missing :-(.  
Our Holiday inhouse party was last Thursday and Monday is the one for our whole group. Looking forward to it have not been to the restaurant it is hosted at.
If it doesnt rain tomorrow....maybe pics of my decorating.

Hi Sunday Update

Hi, Been raining off and all day here in Maryland. Lazy day here, chores around the house, watching the ravens and redskins play, video gaming, and cooking in the crock pot. Today, on took me area minutes, put together the JABC pumpkin I received at the Salty Yarns Jamboree in Oct. Thanks to Becky G for the floss. I finished Pine Mountain Enjoy the Ride at the jamboree also. Finished my Shakespeare Peddlers Memory pillow after I came home. The Beach chair and scissors charms were bought when at the jamboree. Scissors for my cross stitch and I failed scissors when I was in Montessori School at the age of 2. The beach chair because I love to sit on the beach and listen to the ocean. We got all the Christmas decorations out, hope to have them all up in the next few days. Hope you get some stitching done. Til next time , Sue n Maryland

Stitching Update

Hi,
Finished reorganizing my stash today and labeling the containers. Lots of stash but I am glad it is done. Now on to the stitching. Worked around the house today. Reorganizing My Craft Room

Hi,
Been a while been stitching very little on Enjoy the Ride. Each weekend we have spending time at the campground and that has been fun. We decided to stay home this weekend. I have been spending this Saturday doing chores around the house and trying to organize my craft room. Last night we  stopped to pick up essentials and some plastic containers for helping organize my craft room. I wanted one for Mill Hill Projects, Floss, Fabric, Teapots/Teaspoon Designs, Hoops/Qsnaps, not sure what else for now. Been busy since 1000. Sitting down with a cold drink and thought I would take a break. It is nice to see all the stash and what I should be working on. Gonna stitch some tonight. Going through it makes me want to stitch. Sunday Update

Hi,
No stitching this long weekend. We went camping for the holiday. Lots of fun! Went to the pool, played card games, read and just hungout. On Thursday night we went to Oliran Hibachi Japanese Steak House with a bunch of friends at the campground.   Last night we went to Lickety Split Creamery for some Penn State Creamery Ice Cream. This is really good ice cream. 
Other than that not much new. Back to work tomorrow to make more camping dollars.

An Update

Hi,
No stitching of late, been doing things around the house this weekend. Friday spent the afternoon with friends on the eastern shore. Around 1130 on Friday we lost power until 7pm on Saturday night. Saturday was a day to stay home and do some cleaning/going through stuff to donate. We also played a new card game Oz Fluxx....so much fun. I am a big fan of the Wizard of Oz.  Today we went shopping in the morning to see if we could purchase a kayak. We did not buy one but did some shopping for things we need at home and the camper.
Laundry is almost done. The rest of the house is neater.

Going's on

Hi,
Last weekend I spent the weekend at Salty Yarns Beach Retreat. Great fun. We took most of Friday driving down to OC, Maryland. Breakfast, Queenstown Outlets, Easton, OC Walmart on the way. Friday we checked in, enjoyed the dinner and then appetizers and desserts. Saturday, stitching on the front porch til lunch then went to lunch with some friends at Shenanigan's. Really good lunch. Becky who was with us pointed out an error in the menu...we had a great time talking about that. The restaurant we heard fixed the error.  In the afternoon walked down to Spring fest and walked around. We are glad we saw Spring fest, neither of us have been before. We both bought mini flags.  Back to Salty Yarns to stitch and chat until we walked back down to Shenanigans for Crab Soup and Crab Dip. Up to our room for stitching for the rest of the night. Sunday, up for breakfast, stitching until 11 in our room, checked out and drove home. Lunch was at Chipotle in Easton.
This weekend we spent Friday with some friends, eating and play board games. Saturday and Sunday doing things around the house and some local errands. Finished reading Betrayal and now reading Threadbare. Enjoying our weekend. Some stitching, I will show the progess of last weekend and this weekend soon.

Some sewing

Hi all,
Its been a while. Today I made time to do some sewing that I have wanted to do for a while. I made seven q snap covers. Three for 8 in and four 6 in. I enjoyed making them. Set up my cutting table in the living room and sewing in our craft room. Also we made some inserts for a tray we have wanted to line for a while. Here are the pics of today creations.  I also serged the edges of  my next two cross stitch projects. I hope to stitch soon. On Friday I met up with some girlfriends to chat and help sew a dress for her daughters formal dance she was to attend on Saturday night. It was great fun to get together.

Maryland GTG

Hi all,
Yesterday, my best stitching friend an I spent four house at the Maryland GTG. We brought cheese and crackers. We had a great time. We have not been in a while due to life's other commitments, great to see  everyone and spent some time together and stitching. Here is a pic of what I accomplished yesterday. Today went to Michael's they had some spring flowers sale that had polka dots,so whimsical. Off to the camper for some maintenance, home to laundry, clean out the compost bins, and washed the cars. A beautiful day

Hi,
This weekend was spent by attending the home and garden show for a couple of hours on Saturday. Sunday was spent by moving all the living room furniture and straightening out the carpet in our living room. It had a couple of ripples that needed to e straightened. So furniture out and back in. I stitched a little during the NASCAR race but was able to stitch for about an hour tonight. Here is a progress pic of the White Willow tribal I am working on. I have a section I need to frog but that will be another day. Til next time,

Finished,finally finished

Hi,
Put the last back stitching and the beads on the Bicycle Delivery. My DH stapled the backing fabric to the frame as recommended. So here it complete. We went out to the viewing of my best friends MIL. Then we stopped for some grocery's.  Now watching the NASCAR race. I have a new start, it is a present but it one of the White Willow Tribal stitching on 28 count Flax Cashel using Sampler Thread Dark Chocolate. Here is what I have completed so far. Bad picture from my tablet.... I made the q snap cover today using the tutorial from here.    I needed it due to the extra fabric. I am getting used to it, it is different to stitch with it. Glad I was able to start it l was not going to start it until Bicycle Delivery was completed. Hope everyone is enjoying your day. Til next time, Sue n MD

Finished with cross stitching today on the Bicycle Delivery. Just back stitching and instead of the french notes some beads. I did not do what I said with stitching each night but I did some reading. A little bit of green

Hi,
Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Ours was good. A little bit of snow and freezing rain Friday night into Saturday morning. Saturday running around and met up with sister and BIL, and had an impromptu lunch. Very nice. Today did chores and watched hockey and football games. As my post states I did pull out my stitching late tonight but stitched three lengths of green. Here is an updated pic. Til next time Sue in MD

Bicycle Delivery Update

Bicycle Delivery  update. Been stitching a little bit today, we were off work due to the holiday. Back to work tomorrow. I plan to stitch each day if I can find the time.
