What took me so long....too post.....nothing significant...just everyday life.

Hi,
All is well, busy with camping, playing a computer game, and doing things around the house. I am here just haven't been stitching or blogging. I have been keeping up on reading the stitcher's blogs.
I started a Christmas present for stitching. Nothing to show yet....need to get it done. Been cleaning up things around the house and putting away the items from the camper, and the all favorite laundry. All the linens, towels, etc from the camper so they are cleaned for next years season. Gonna go play a computer game for a while.

A little Finish...Finish

Hi,
Been busy the past two weekends working around the house...cleaning, laundry, declutting, decorating for Halloween, watching movies and some stitching. Yesterday was Halloween, we gave out candy, even though it rained/sprinkled a few times. We had about 50 children come to the door. This morning, I put the finishing stitches on BOO ...a day late but done. Working on Wall E now...just a small project. Watched

Whereabouts!

Hi,
Been in FL visiting with my Mom and my older sisters. Trip was good, glad I went. Very little stitching while I was away, but I read 4 books. Took care of Mom mostly, visited with my sisters.
Looking forward to this weekend going to OC to the Stitcher's Jamboree. Just went to my LNS The Stitching Post to pick up the November JABC Teacup. Went to work today.....off tomorrow.

Toggles and Enabling

Hi,
Went camping this weekend up near Allentown. What a nice relaxing weekend and the weather cooperated. While we were there I visited Cabela's and Stitchin N Stuf. Stitchin n Stuff is a great store lots of charts, kits and threads. I picked up an oldie Mill Hill Sept/Oct Simply Seasonal Welcome Kit , I saw it on their website, but I wanted to see the LNS so off we went. Saw other things, but trying to keep my stash building to a minimum. Also received my confirmation to the Stitcher's Jamboree at Salty Yarns. Tonight I made plane and car reservations to visit my mom in FL for a week. About the toggles, went to Joann's tonight and picked up some toggle buttons to fix a springy trash can for the camper. The trash can has velcro to keep it closed but it never worked, so I got frustrated with it and decided to sew on toggle buttons (it had loops on it) to secure it closed. Much happier with it now. Weekend and Enabling

Spent the weekend Thurs-Sun with my niece and nephew. My sister and her husband went away for the weekend. We had a good time.....we ate out, shopping, played video games, and did some crafting. We made a foam Booville Halloween Shops. I went to the LNS and picked up the JCS Christmas ' Magazine, and I found at Books a Million, October's The Cross Stitcher which has couple of Fall related patterns I want to stitch. Lisa over at Hockey Mom Stitchin Hobby was the enabler, I just love the Trick or Treat and Fall Lineup. So more to stitch. All was a lot of fun. No stitching this weekend, I planned on it and had it out but our neighbors came by and picked up the sofa and the old tv.....so we helped them load them in the truck. Hope everyone was able to stitch....

Rest of Labor Day

Busy running errands today....new lawn edger from Lowes and ordered a Pub Table for our family room. Cut grass and used our lawn edger...lawn and driveway look better now. Watched I Love You, Man, funny movie.

Cant come up with a title for post!

This weekend we spent at my sister house, playing video games, reading and shopping. We went to the Days of Knights Game Store. If you are looking for board games that is the place to go. Lots of great strategy board games. We stopped at Marshall's also in Newark and what a nice Marshalls lots of stock and well organized. Today is Labor Day and we are doing chores around the house and doing some reading, not sure if I will get the stitching mojo today. It is overcast and kinda gloomy outside. What's Happening! Finish too!

Been a while, I finished Witches Fate this past Sunday before we went to the dinner theater to see Oklahoma. It was a good show. Working on the Krenik's Happy Jack this week hope to finish it up soon it has been a UFO in my stitching. Here is a pic of Witches Fate, not sure how I am going to finish it. Not much else is new....work is busy, looking forward to going out to dinner with friends tomorrow. My LNS called today to let me know the latest JABC Teacup is in. Will make a trip to pick that up. Laundry and Some Stitching

Hi,
Today I completed the laundry for the last two weeks.....so now that is caught up. Went to the Local Book Stores to try to find a copy of the JCS Halloween Magazine. No luck at Michaels, Joann's or Borders today. I hope to look at Barnes and Noble tomorrow. Two movies today Meet Dave and Obsessed. During Obsessed, I brought out my stitching a worked on Witches Fate. Other errands today was Bed Bath Beyond and PetsMart for dog food. Hope you all are getting some stitching done. Enjoy!

Stash and whereabouts

Last week we were camping in Upstate NY with a bunch of our camping friends. Was also able to see my two sisters who live up there. We had a great week, but back to the daily routine. This weekend, I need to catch up on laundry and around the house. Yesterday we finally got the grass cut. This afternoon, I went to my way to LNS, and picked up the latest JABC Teacup, Mill Hill Halloween Night Kit, and the Halloween Bandit from Sunflower Seed along with the 28 count lime green cashel linen. I just love the color of the fabric. Here is a picture of the stash.

Weekend

Weekend was good, started early on Friday, met some friends to watch a local team play softball. Lots of fun, took our time driving to the eastern shore. Stopped by the outlets on the way. Had great food at a local restaurant. Saturday, up to see a friend in Wilmington DE. Spent the day there. Today, quick shopping at BJs warehouse in the morning, then my sisters family came to visit, then they went to pick up their daughter at the local airport. My nephew wanted to do some stitching while he was down, so I got a few stitches with him here, and I just stitched for a little while; while we were watching the last hour of The Reader. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Beading and a New Start

Hi,
Had a good weekend, pretty much spent it at home working around the house, yesterday some shopping at Walmart, for misc stuff. Today went to the travel trailer and made the bed and took down some supplies. When we came back had some lunch and I worked in my craft room. Fixed my co-workers badge holder, restrung and put some swivels for the big split ring. I fixed my black and white one with a smaller split ring. Going to see if I can find a split ring plier soon, I hope it helps on opening the split rings. Seems to by the look of them on the web. Here is a pic of my work for this week. I saw on giggleface studios the great pillows Tracey made for her couch. She let me know she found them at Joann's. I have been looking for bigger size pillow forms for a while. So...wha la...off I went they were buy one get one free. So another project completed a huge pillow for my niece. It is covered with horses. Thanks, love reading the needlework blogs.

Woo Hoo A Finish

Just finished up the July Towel Leisure Arts Handy Hand Towels thru the year / Design by Kathie Rueger. Worked on it after dinner, chicken, rice and corn on the cob. 4 hours of stitching

Hi,
Went to the local stitching group today and had a good time. There were about 12 ladies there stitching. It was great, I worked on the July towel....some cross stitch but mostly back stitching, hope to finish it soon. I probably have another 2 hours to go.....Hope you were able to do some stitching. This week

has been good. Only 4 days at work and a long weekend. Since starting the july towel, i am about 75 percent done. Working on it a little during the week and this weekend. Hope to have a finish soon. A new start...

Hi,
We just came back from a week of camping on the DelMarVa....had a great time. Today my best friend and I went stitching with a group of ladies at a near by church. We also had a pot luck. It was great stitching, and seeing all the ladies, we have not been there in a few months due to schedules. The food was great, there were 11 of us there today. Why my new start....when I am at the church I have to stitch on something with a big count....so I started the July towel, Year of towels. I did not complete the March towel but I could not bring that today.....So I started the July...LOL. We are meeting again this Sunday, so I hope to bring something new, I plan on finishing up July........

Stitching, Travel, Camping and Reading

Hi,
Since last weekend, I was on travel for work to NH for three days, camping for 4 days and now it is Sunday again. A little bit of stitching last Sunday on Nuts for Stitching....havent stitched since then. Been reading a little and we went camping for the weekend. Weekend around the house

No stitching as of yet this weekend, worked around the house, cleaning, getting things ready to drop off at Goodwill, cutting the grass. Spent last night with some friends on the way there we picked up some local Shrimp Salad. Had a nice easy meal and lots of chatting. Great to get together. Yesterday afternoon took a ride to the LNS to pick up my latest JABC Teacup...June. Reading recently....enjoying some romance novels. Not much else is new. Hope you are able to stitch. Til next time.

Memorial Day Weekend

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend, we spent Saturday and Monday working around the house. On Sunday we spent the day at my sisters, hanging out and celebrating a birthday. I did start something new I went and bought the threads a few weeks ago for the Nuts Stitch Here pillow. I started it on Saturday, and have the acorns stitched, the rest of Saturday, I did quite a bit of sewing, 4 pillows, some mending and a duvet for my nephew. Trains on one side and wolves running on the other. Been doing things that need to done around the house. No big stitching just here and there, I have to be in the moment to stitch. Camping, No Stitching

Went camping this weekend on the Eastern Shore, had a great time. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weather was good, but raining when packing up this morning. No stitching as of late, plan to get it out tonight so I can stitch some tomorrow night. I took it with me, but did not get it out this weekend. Hopefully you all are stitching some. I caught up on all the blog reading, I really enjoy reading about all the stitching and activities going on.

I Finally Stitched!!!

Tonight, I finally stitched working on a March Towel but I stitched. Finished up the body of the sheep and did its backstitch. ( I have to backstitch as I go a long....if I left it til the end I would never finish any project.) I also worked on some of the words....I am at the end of a thread so, I am done for the night....but I stitched. Hopefully I can stitch a little each night....it is so relaxing...just thinking of the design. The hockey game was on and it was nice to listen to it even though the Caps lost tonight. Game 5 tomorrow, hopefully we will see part of that game. Hopefully your needles are working if not maybe sometime soon.

My Whereabouts

Hi,
Been a while since posting...havent been stitching or reading....doing things around the house and been out camping the last two weekends. Takes a little time to prepare to go camping and have been doing that also. I hope to stitch tonight for a little bit during Survivor. Other than that not much else is new. Hopefully the weather will turn for the better, it has been raining for about the last ten or so days.

Mending, Reading, Housework, Movies

Happy Easter!
Just a quick note, no stitching of late, been reading some, housework and some mending. Sewed two new patches on my BIL jean jacket, replacing others. Mended a fleece sleeping bag. Reading a little, catching up on our Netflix movies and housework....getting ready for spring, cleaning up, clearing out....Had a great day yesterday with one of my sisters family, little shopping, eating out and just hanging out...lots of fun. Have stitching to do and more sewing, my nephew asked me about his pillow yesterday...havent put it together yet. Lots of Dr's appointments this past week. Well I will go for now,

No Stitching but some shopping

Yesterday afternoon, went to AC Moore and my LNS to pick up the latest JABC Teacup. Today my sister called and we went up there, off to Walmart with my nephew and sister to pick out some fabric for a comforter cover (duvet) for his bed. I have had train fabric for it but did not know what to use as the back. He picked out some fabric for back that has wolves running....so there we have it. I also bought two panels to make two pillows one for him and I with wolves on them also. Came back showed my niece so now she wants the other pillow panel. I gave my niece her fleece blanket I made for her which has a horse pattern on it. Well for me today, I bought the Twilight soundtrack, I bought the movie (dvd) when it came out. I am really happy with the soundtrack, it is now on my ipod. I looked up and found out the New Moon movie is coming out in November, looking forward to that.

Some Stiitching and Movies

Today I was able to stitch on the March towel a little bit....working on the lamb. Got some of the body done, his legs, and head. Hope to work some more on him later. Made a point to stitch while we were watching the movie, Over her Dead Body....funny movie. Going to some chores...laundry, bills etc.

Stitching, Frogging and Camping

Hi,
Spent the weekend camping....had a great time with camping friends. Sunday night....a little bit of stitching on the March towel....then some frogging, and some more stitching. Seems like the only time I stitch and blog about it is Sundays. I want to complete this towel by Friday. When I put a schedule to it, I seem to get close to the goal. Some stitching

Hi,
Been stitching on the coffee break on and off all week, just have a little bit of back stitch to do. Hopefully I will finish it tomorrow. Today our LNS has a stitching night so off we (my stitching BFF) and I. Had a great time, stitched on the March towel, year of towels by.....will let you know later. Finished half of the lion..... had a great time, enjoy stitching with other stitchers. Great motivation. Tomorrow is laundry and meeting some friends for lunch. Hope to get both of these projects done this week. If I place a deadline, then I seem to stitch and get them done.

Snow DAY! Woo Hoo!

Snow Day today!!! Been lounging around the house today..just got back in from shoveling the driveway. About 6 inches of snow. Have been doing a little stitching on Coffee Break this weekend and completed the stitching on Tuna Kat, need to finish it. So no pic yet. This weekend was good, spent Saturday at my sisters, just hanging out and some shopping. Sunday we were decluttering the house and watched the NASCAR Race. Hopefully some stitching today, I have been meandering in and out reading up on the blogs, keeps me motivated to want to stitch. Other than that not much going on. A Finish, Potluck, and a UFO

This afternoon was spent with some stitching ladies at a local church. We stitched this afternoon and had a potluck. I finished up the Stitching is My Cup of Tea Pine Mountain Pillow...YAY....During our stitching time, we had a potluck, I brought brownies....all the food was good...we had plenty of it. Also stitchers brought some items they no longer wanted to we had a swap....I need to go through my stash and bring it next time. Hopefully, I will sew up the pillow insert for the Pine Mountain pillow, so I may have a pic tomorrow. Gotta go Amazing Race is on.

No progress on Stitching

What I stitched on the Stitching is my Cup of Tea, I removed....before I would have left it and worked around the stitching but it was two threads off on 10 count so out it came....I have not put the stitches back hopefully...this weekend....I have thought of how I am finishing the Tuna Kat....so I hope to finish it up soon. Went to the RV Show yesterday...what fun to look at the new rigs and dream...saw a few people we only see camping so that was great to see each other again. The show is lots of fun and dreaming about what we could do. Also talked with one of the workers from a campground we are visiting this summer....first time there, so looking forward to that trip. Not wishing the time til it gets a here but something to look forward to. Been doing some cleaning, and laundry today around the house. Got a late start...but that is nice on the weekend to do that. Off to dinner with some friends tonight.

Back from AZ

Hi,
Last Sunday was spent stitching on the Calico Roads Tuna Kat....almost done yesterday I went out shopping for some buttons for it. This past week I was in AZ for work. Busy...no stitching while I was away....Back on Friday...doing things around the house yesterday and today. Some stitching now as we watch TV...also doing laundry. Working on the Pine Mountain Pillow - Stitching is My Cup of Tea...should have it finished this week. Found some crafty things this weekend at Tuesday Morning, AC Moore and Michaels.

Snow, Ice, Rain......stayed home

Yesterday we had a dusting of snow, last night was sleet and then freezing rain.....but just rain now....we played ho0key from work, didn't want to deal with the ice covered roads in our housing development to get to work....so we took leave....Only shoveling the ice off the driveway, walked/slid with the dog, laundry, dinner and some frogging....normally I dont frog but make the pattern my own...but this was a border (1/2 of it) so out it came. Not ready to stitch yet on it....I really do not stayed motivated if I have to frog or fix the stitching so I can continue......I will probably stitch on it tonight, finishing up the cats legs....then on to the border again. I also read the latest in the Jennifer Chiaverini's series The Quilters Kitchen, quick fun read today since I left my book at work yesterday (duh). Cant start the next one in the series until I finish this one..... I have many books I could read.... Watched the movie Hancock today it was good, if you like super heros.

First finish of 2009

Hi,
Just finished the Crab is in. Will give it an iron tomorrow and maybe a pic. Feels good to have a finish already. Reading all the stitching blogs keep me motivated to stitch and to finish something. Happenings

Been stitching a little this weekend. A few hours at the LNS which had a stitching night went with my best stitching friend. Fun seeing all the stitching being done. I worked on the crab is in. ONe of the stitchers had completed it recently and told me to stitch around the letters so they stood out more. I did that yesterday when I went to my sisters. My sister and I did some shopping, didnt buy much...nothing we needed from the sales. This morning finished up the book Bloody Mary...if you like murder and police stories these are for you...very graphic on the murders. I am in the midst of baking cookies, reading the next in the series Rusty Nail and doing laundry. Hope to get to some stitching this afternoon. Enjoy!

Stitching on Sunday

Yesterday the stitching group got together at a nearby church. Stitched all afternoon, I started a new project to bring with me....because I was tired of all the half stitches in the one I was working on. So I started (yes another project) The Crab is In by Waxing Moon. What fun.....I am using WDW and Sampler Threads from The Gentle Art. I am stitching it on 28ct lambswool. Having fun with it. I completed the wording yesterday. No stitching today....out grocery shopping and dog food.

Into the New Year

Hi,
No stitching today...might do some while watching the hockey game. Some sewing mojo....last night I made some curtains for my laundry room, the have flamingos, flowers and umbrellas on them. I have had the fabric for quiet a while. Today I made a fleece blanket for my niece which has horses on it. I sewed a border six inches in on the fabric, cut to the fabric and tied the pieces. I was watching I pronounce you Chuck and Larry, funny movie, I have seen it multiple times. Back to my craft room to make a pillow for the "Just Add Snow" Pine Mountain. In the pile of fabric I found some items to mend so I did those first, so back in the dresser to wear now. Made the pillow and used my "purple thang", highly recommend when pushing out the corners and filling with fiber fill. Walked the dog....had dinner then watched the VH1 Rock Honors "The Who"...great show. Now on to watch the hockey game. Til next time,

The New Year
