Some finishes

Hi,
Knitted two of these flick flack yarn scarfs. I gave one to a coworker Lynn. I also finished the ufo/wip Day of the dead needle roll from Salty Yarns Stitchery Jamboree. I found it this week  in my stash and decided to finish it up. Hope you all are able to stitch. Til next time Sue n MD

Some Knitting

Hi,

Camping this weekend. Rausch Creek on Saturday to attend Wheeling with friends — at BEGINNERS WECOME: Element Offroad's First Annual Summer Camp Trailride. Poontoon boat ride saturday night. French toast for breakfast.  On the way home I spent some time knitting. Here is where I am today.

I did it.....woo hoo!

Hi,
I accomplished what I wanted to learn this year. Last year I saw a ruffle scarf and wanted one of my own. So basic knitting learned. Pointers earned from Ruth and Ann last weekend and here is a pic of the result. Started it yesterday and finished it up tonight. Started a new one tonight.  As I stated woo hoo for me.

Maryland GTG and update

Hi, yesterday my stitchy  friend and I were able to attend d the Maryland GTG. What a great time to meet up with other stitchers. We had a potluck also great food. Yesterday day I worked on Dimensions Stone  Path. Last weekend I finished up my first knitting project ; a scarf. Other than that chores around the house. Stitching and Knitting Update

Sunday checkin

Hi, been reading, A Walk in the Park by Jill Mansell. Picked up at the library on the new books shelf.
Last timeI blogged I told you I was attempting knitting, week I am knitting I believe now. Still practicing .....was making a scarf but it was way to wide. Took it  all out yesterday and started on 20 stitches wide. Still having consistency problems but still persevering.  Here is a pic of what i have completed so far.

DH and I have busy working on our performance write ups for work.  Not much else going on regular chores etc. Weekend almost over back to work tomorrow. I hope the weather people are wrong about the freezing rain in the morning. Will make the commute unpleasant. Hope you are able to stitch or do needlework. Til next time,

Sunday night check in

Hi,
Been stitching and practicing how to cast on for knitting. Bought myself knitting needles and some yarn bee chrysalis yarn to make a ruffle scarf. However thought it was best to learn basic knitting with some basic yarn I had at home. Can't get knitting yet but can cast on. I will persevere and learn how to make my first stitch this week. Looking at videos and reading my idiots guide to knitting. Here is the pic of stitching today trying to sit down each day and put in some stitches. It does not stitch itself ....LOL. I really enjoy it when I take the time. Hope all is well with you and you are able to stitch soon. Til next time, Sue in MD
