A Good Read

Been camping - I cant find the post but I believe it was Tanya at The Sampler Girl. that recommended Language of the Flowers. I learned alot about flowers I did not know. Had a hard time putting the book down.

No stitching of late.  Hope you all can put in a few stitches.

Thread Zapper II

Hi,

Just a quick update. A friend of mine at the stitchers retreat had a thread zapper II. Salty Yarns did not have them in stock, however I ordered one when I got home. Great tool for cutting metallic threads.

Til next time,
Hopefully you are getting in a few stitches.

Salty Yarns Spring Retreat

Hi,

Spent the weekend in Ocean City Maryland at the Salty Yarns Spring Retreat. Drove down the ocean with my BFF Stitcher Sandy  on Thursday (stopped at the Queenstown Outlets and the OC Walmart) on our way in.  It was Springfest also in Ocean City. Sandy and I walked down to the inlet and walked around springfest. Went again on Friday morning with our other Stitcher friends.Had a great time. Taught my BFF how to knit she is getting the hang of it.  . Friday night was lasagna and the stitchers welcome reception. Friday a cross stitch picture that Judy B had organized 73 people to stitch a part of the design was presented to Sally and Sara. It hangs in the lobby of the hotel.  Saturday we walked the boardwalk, had subway and did some stitching. Shopping at Salty Yarns (cross stitch patterns and of course yarn) On Sunday up and did some stitching before we headed home. what a Great Weekend. Will be going back to Salty Yarns again for the Stitchers Jamboree in Oct!

Home.....off to work tomorrow.

Hope you all are able to stitch. Til next time, Sue n MD

I did it.....woo hoo!

Hi,
I accomplished what I wanted to learn this year. Last year I saw a ruffle scarf and wanted one of my own. So basic knitting learned. Pointers earned from Ruth and Ann last weekend and here is a pic of the result. Started it yesterday and finished it up tonight. Started a new one tonight.  As I stated woo hoo for me.
