Summer's Here

Been a long time since I have posted. Well, I have been working, camping on weekends, doing some knitting and reading. Nothing finished except for a couple to ruffle scarfs. So our weeks are working, some shopping on Mondays, Tuesdays household chores, Wednesday, Laundry and Thursday getting ready for the weekends.

Stitching @ Salty Yarns

Hi,
Spent a great weekend of Stitching at Ocean City Maryland (with 71 other stitchers). Thursday my stitching buddy Sandy and I left our home towns at 0630 then mine at 0730 and took a leisurely ride to Ocean City with stops for Breakfast at Cracker Barrel, Queenstown outlets, and Walmart before ending up at the Lankford Hotel, right next to Salty Yarns. Had dinner with Nelsa and Becky at 9th Street Tap House. Took a walk to the inlet. 

Friday we went to the Rehoboth Outlets, stopping at Fishers popcorn. Then we went to the Rehoboth Beach Museum for the needlework exhibit. 

Saturday, breakfast at the hotel, walked down to the inlet for Springfest, bought a seagull from here.
Back to the Lankford for stitching through the afternoon. Went to dinner at Shenanigans, dessert at Sweet Frog. Back to room for stitching (lobby and room) were packed. Watched Princess Diaries and stitched away. 

Sunday up and breakfast, a wonderful walk on the beach and boardwalk. Then to Chipolete for lunch and drove home. 
We always anticipate for this weekend to come and its over in a flash.

Some Stitching, Some Knitting

Hi,
Been doing some stitching but nothing finished yet.  A husband friend asked me to stitch a ruffle scarf of the Washington Redskins color (burgandy and gold) that he saw that I did for a friend of mine. So I stitched it up, and she told me she was not a Redskins fan (LOL) but he is. All is good she will wear the scarf but rather have the Baltimore Ravens colors. (when I find those) I will knit up a scarf for her in those team colors instead. All is good here. Hope you all are able to find time to stitch, Til next time, Sue n Maryland

Stitched this up last week. I finally made some time to finish it up today. Took a break from scanning in slides which we have been doing most of today. So here it is attached to a pair of scissors. All this blog talk about ornaments

Hi,
I read many blogs and this year seems that many stitchers are stitching ornaments so that they have 12 of them for this year. . I have been stitching on Steampunk Fish but for the last two nights I stitched this ornament and wanted to finish it tonight.   I may not get twelve ornaments done this year but I may get to eleven of them.(that is the plan) Here is a pic of the first of 2014 finished finished ornament. I found the free chart on this site. I thought it was appropriate with all the snow we have received in Maryland this year. I hope you are able to stitch. Til next time,

More Fish

Hi,
Been Stitching a bit on my long weekend. Here is a pic of my progress. Other than that the weekend was great.It was 5 days long Snow Day Thursday, Friday spent the day at the RV show with Family and Friends. Great Time. Saturday, Sunday and Monday hanging around the house. Trip to Lowes yesterday for new light, Joann's for sewing tape measure (not sure what happened to my old one) swerve orange yarn, 28 count fabric for Just Nan Making Friends (got it off of EBay ) after I saw it online so cute. Weekly Update

Hi,
Hope everyone is good. Stayed in this weekend and did things around the house. This week put some stitches in the Sam Sarah Steam punk Fish. This is what it looks like today. Did a bit of knitting too. Saw a blog with Just Nan Making Friends and had my DH order the chart off of E Bay. So cute, can't wait to get it. Hope you all are able to stitch. Waiting for the Game!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. This weekend was filled with errands and chores. Was able to find the Target only Monster Fluxx game. Been looking for this flux version for a little while. Being Productive

Hi again,

More stitching today....all the words are done on the Pine Mountain Pillow on to the small bird in the bottom right hand corner. Neatened up my craft room, still cluttered but was able to mend my sweater and hem my nephews boy scout pants. Now I need to meet up with my sister to deliver the pants. Hope you are all are able to stitch.  Still snowing here in Maryland, maybe, maybe another snow day, or delayed opening tomorrow. Be safe,

Snow Day

Hi,
Went to work this morning, before the snow started. We have been home for a few hours and watching the snow fall. Caught up on the latest Castle show and watched Flowers in the Attic that was shown on Lifetime that I dvr'ed. Stitching recently a pine mountain pillow March - Go Fly a Kite. I left March off of the pillow so I can leave it out all the time. Just colored in the green grass mound with all green. (this is the pic from Pine Mountains web site. Will post my version when completed.


 Been doing a little knitting also as I watch TV. Other than that things are good. Hope you all are able to put some stitches in.
