Weekend around the house

No stitching as of yet this weekend, worked around the house, cleaning, getting things ready to drop off at Goodwill, cutting the grass. Spent last night with some friends on the way there we picked up some local Shrimp Salad. Had a nice easy meal and lots of chatting. Great to get together. Yesterday afternoon took a ride to the LNS to pick up my latest JABC Teacup...June. Reading recently....enjoying some romance novels. Not much else is new. Hope you are able to stitch. Til next time.

Memorial Day Weekend

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend, we spent Saturday and Monday working around the house. On Sunday we spent the day at my sisters, hanging out and celebrating a birthday. I did start something new I went and bought the threads a few weeks ago for the Nuts Stitch Here pillow. I started it on Saturday, and have the acorns stitched, the rest of Saturday, I did quite a bit of sewing, 4 pillows, some mending and a duvet for my nephew. Trains on one side and wolves running on the other. Been doing things that need to done around the house. No big stitching just here and there, I have to be in the moment to stitch. Camping, No Stitching

Went camping this weekend on the Eastern Shore, had a great time. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weather was good, but raining when packing up this morning. No stitching as of late, plan to get it out tonight so I can stitch some tomorrow night. I took it with me, but did not get it out this weekend. Hopefully you all are stitching some. I caught up on all the blog reading, I really enjoy reading about all the stitching and activities going on.

I Finally Stitched!!!

Tonight, I finally stitched working on a March Towel but I stitched. Finished up the body of the sheep and did its backstitch. ( I have to backstitch as I go a long....if I left it til the end I would never finish any project.) I also worked on some of the words....I am at the end of a thread so, I am done for the night....but I stitched. Hopefully I can stitch a little each night....it is so relaxing...just thinking of the design. The hockey game was on and it was nice to listen to it even though the Caps lost tonight. Game 5 tomorrow, hopefully we will see part of that game. Hopefully your needles are working if not maybe sometime soon.

My Whereabouts

Hi,
Been a while since posting...havent been stitching or reading....doing things around the house and been out camping the last two weekends. Takes a little time to prepare to go camping and have been doing that also. I hope to stitch tonight for a little bit during Survivor. Other than that not much else is new. Hopefully the weather will turn for the better, it has been raining for about the last ten or so days.

Mending, Reading, Housework, Movies

Happy Easter!
Just a quick note, no stitching of late, been reading some, housework and some mending. Sewed two new patches on my BIL jean jacket, replacing others. Mended a fleece sleeping bag. Reading a little, catching up on our Netflix movies and housework....getting ready for spring, cleaning up, clearing out....Had a great day yesterday with one of my sisters family, little shopping, eating out and just hanging out...lots of fun. Have stitching to do and more sewing, my nephew asked me about his pillow yesterday...havent put it together yet. Lots of Dr's appointments this past week. Well I will go for now,

No Stitching but some shopping

Yesterday afternoon, went to AC Moore and my LNS to pick up the latest JABC Teacup. Today my sister called and we went up there, off to Walmart with my nephew and sister to pick out some fabric for a comforter cover (duvet) for his bed. I have had train fabric for it but did not know what to use as the back. He picked out some fabric for back that has wolves running....so there we have it. I also bought two panels to make two pillows one for him and I with wolves on them also. Came back showed my niece so now she wants the other pillow panel. I gave my niece her fleece blanket I made for her which has a horse pattern on it. Well for me today, I bought the Twilight soundtrack, I bought the movie (dvd) when it came out. I am really happy with the soundtrack, it is now on my ipod. I looked up and found out the New Moon movie is coming out in November, looking forward to that.
